Trailways tour bus and tractor-trailer crash

A Trailways tour bus rear-ended a tractor-trailer on the state Thruway in the New York City. According to witnesses, a vehicle entering the highway caused the trailer to slow down.

The tour bus, carrying 16 passengers from Kingston, N.Y., to New York City, then ran into the back of the trailer.

5 passengers on the bus had to be extracted from the bus and then sent to hospitals around Rockland County. This is the 4th tour bus crash this year.

Officer Killed On LI Highway In Collison

A New York off-duty officer was killed when a drunk driver rear-ended him. The officers car was struck around 5:35 a.m. Sept 11th.

The officer was pronounced dead at Nassau University Medical Center, while his passenger, was released after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The drunk driver rear-ended the victims vehicle.” The drunk driver was charged vehicular manslaughter in the 2nd degree, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, and two counts of assault in the 3rd degree.
